Ten Strategic Book Publishing authors have won honors in the 2011 Readers Favorite Awards with a total of twelve books chosen in eleven categories. Gold Medals authors include Mike Saxton, for his 7 Scorpions: Rebellion in the Science Fiction category, and Jo Anne Bender, for Lebensborn in the Fiction-Action category. Sherrill S. Cannon, who was nominated for all three of her children’s books, won the Gold Medal in the Children’s-Concept category for The Magic Word. Her Santa’s Birthday Gift and Peter and the Whimper-Whineys took Silver and Bronze, respectively, in the Children’s– Fable category.
Peter Cassidy’s A Mole Named Cole and a Whole Lot of Hole received Honorable Mention in Children’s-Concept. Rita Kaye Vetsch’s The Many Colors of Friendship won Honorable Mention in the Children’s-General category, with Alise Cayen’s Patty Pom-Poms a Finalist in that category as well.
U.D. Abdulkareem and his The African Cowboy were recognized in multiple categories, named a Finalist in both Fiction-Action and Fiction-Suspense, in addition to winning the Young Adult Bronze Medal.
Nigel Patten’s The Hounds of Samaria took the Bronze Medal in the Mystery category while Sally Eccleston’s Leap Beyond Blue Sky Veil was chosen a Finalist in Historical Fiction.
Strategic Book and Publishing congratulates all of its authors on their accomplishments.
