Eleven Strategic Book Publishing and Rights Agency authors have been named Finalists in the 2012 Readers Favorite Awards, with books chosen in ten categories. Entries were up two-fold from last year, with contestants competing against submissions from major publishers, best-selling authors and celebrities. Winners will be announced on September 1. In the Children/Fable category, Rita Kaye Vetsch’s The Many Colors of Friendship and Sherrill S. Cannon’s Gimme-Jimmy were both named Finalists. This is a second nod for Vetsch’s book while Cannon’s earlier three books were each recognized last year. In the Children/Concept category, award-winning author Jannifer Powelson was named a Finalist for Rachel and Sammy Learn About Trees. Leyla Atke’s Charm: An Amazing Story of a Little Black Cat was chosen in Non-Fiction/Animals.
Anna Morten’s The Cuckoo’s Egg has been nominated for the second time; it is a Finalist in the Non-Fiction/Drama category. The Illuminator – Access to Universal Intelligence by Rajith Rajappan has been recognized in Non-Fiction/Self-Help, while Dr. Stuart Jeanne Bramhall’s The Most Revolutionary Act is a Finalist in Non-Fiction/Gov.-Politics.
And Rainedrops Fall Down My Cheeks, by author Raine, has been chosen in the Non-Fiction/Autobiography category, while W.G. Griffiths’ Methuselah’s Pillar was awarded Finalist in the Fiction/Action category.
The Sixties Girl, by author Victoria Staat, is a Finalist in Romance/Contemporary while the multi-award winning 101 Reasons to Leave New York, by Howard Jordan, Jr., was chosen in Non-Fiction/Humor.
