Strategic Book Publishing & Rights Agency (SBPRA) has announced the acquisition of new distribution channels for all of its published works to South Africa and Norway. The arrangement, with The Nielson Company, was struck during Book Expo of America 2012 and adds to SBPRA’s growing global distribution network for its authors and clients.
At BEA, Strategic hosted a table in the International Rights Center Pavilion for a series of meetings focused on global rights’ sales. Deals are already in place in China, Korea and Taiwan, among others. SBPRA also met with several prominent Russian publishing companies, in advance of the company’s participation at the Moscow International Book Fair later this year. “Russia is, without a doubt, the next China in terms of growing demand for print and e-books,” says SBPRA CEO Robert Fletcher.
