Author Philip Tarnoff has been interviewed on Forward Motion, a public affairs television program broadcast in Montgomery, Maryland. Tarnoff is the author of the provocative new book The Road Ahead: Why Are We Driving 21st-Century Cars on 20th-Century Roads With 19th-Century Thinking? He brings years of experience and expertise to the topic, having been the president of a major transportation systems integrator and currently chairman of the board of a start-up company that produces devices for measuring traffic flow. Tarnoff and program host and producer Karen Allyn discussed the issue of this infrastructure deterioration, mirroring that of our economy, and how a broad range of solutions can solve what is happening to our roads, and at the same time, may also offer the potential to solve America’s funding crisis.
