Susan Keefe’s new book Toby’s Tail has been reviewed in ‘The 20 Minute Book Review’ in Connexion, the only newspaper in France written in English (www.connexionfrance.com). The book tells of border collie Toby’s first year with his new family, in a new place. The reviewer says, “This gives the writer a chance to look afresh at what owning a dog means and also the chance to give some words of advice to children with their new pets. Toby’s Tails is… a somewhat different take on what living and enjoying France is all about. The dog becomes part adventure guide and part explorer as “mum” explains French terms and places, lifestyles and habits. One for reading to children, I would suggest.”
Sean Frain and his new book A Lake District Journey: Discover the People, Places, Traditions, Industries, & Legends of Glorious Lakeland has been getting a lot of attention from the local press. The Bury Times did a feature on the book and author, The Countryman’s Weekly published a glowing review this month, as did The West Cumberland Times. The Westmorland Gazette and Cumbria Magazine are both planning feature stories. Lancashire Living Magazine will include A Lake District Journey in its next issue, featured in its book-buying guide. The Lake District is a beautiful part of England that is enormously popular with tourists. Over the centuries, this historic region has given rise to fascinating legends, literature and traditions, all of which are explored in this wonderful book.
