Authors’ Fundraiser for Local Child Makes $1,300

Authors Brandy and Nicholas Decker raised $1,300 to benefit Tripp Roth, a local boy from Ponchatoula, Louisiana, who was born with a rare skin disease called EB. The fundraiser held last week was an all day affair at a local Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt. The authors sold and signed copies of their book, Roseania and the Spirit Protector. Strategic Book Publishing donated 25 copies for the benefit, in support of the Deckers’ efforts.

Tripp Roth was not supposed to live to 1 year old. He made it to 2 years old in May, but now his health is failing. He is blind and on comfort measures because his family decided not to put Tripp through any more painful procedures. Please visit the family blog to read more about Tripp at http://randycourtneytripproth.blogspot.com.

Roseania and the Spirit Protector, written by Brandy Decker with her husband Nicholas, is a fantasy about a once-happy kingdom named Roseania. SBPRA congratulates these two authors on their wonderful effort to help a family in need, and on their continuing involvement with their community.
