‘101 Reasons to Leave New York’ Wins 2012 IPPY and Spawns Huffington Post Blog

Howard Jordan Jr.’s 101 Reasons to Leave New York has won a Silver Medal in the 2012 Independent Publisher Awards (“IPPYs”) in the Adult Non-Fiction ebook category. There were over five thousand entries in the 16th annual contest, and the 372 medalists span 44 U.S. states and 11 foreign countries. The IPPYs are intended to bring increased recognition to the thousands of exemplary independent, university, and self-published titles published each year.

Howard Jordan Jr.’s new blog, inspired by his book, has been picked up by The Huffington Post. Called (MORE) REASONS TO LEAVE NEW YORK, the blog continues the author’s exploration of his love/hate relationship with the Big Apple. Both blog and book are quirky pop culture attempts to articulate the unthinkable notion of willingly leaving the greatest city on the face of the planet. Each of his reasons is an acknowledgement of how this city can make you, break you, or just take you for the ride of your life.
